
Ramona Moldovan
Honorary Professor of Clinical Psychology and Genomics
Ramona is a Honorary Professor of Clinical Psychology and Genomics at the University of Manchester and continues to hold an affiliation with BabeČ™-Bolyai University, Romania. She is also a dual-trained clinical psychologist and genetic counsellor. Her academic, clinical and research activities have been instrumental in setting up unified standard for education, practice and registration in genetic counselling throughout Europe. She holds the following positions of responsibility:
- Co-Director of the MRC/NIHR ELSI Node in the UK Rare Disease Platform.
- Capacity Building Lead of the Rare Conditions Theme of the NIHR Manchester Biomedical Research Centre.
- Co-lead of the NHS Rare & Inherited Disease Genomics Network of Excellence.
- Elected Board Member of the European Society of Human Genetics (ESHG).
- Deputy Director of Manchester Academy for Healthcare Scientist Education (MAHSE) and of the 4Ward North PhD Academy.
