Thomas Zacharchenko
Lecturer in Cell Matrix Research
Thomas Zacharchenko is a Lecturer in Cell Matrix Research at the University of Manchester. His research explores the molecular mechanisms by which cells communicate with each other and their environment through proteins known as integrins. By combining structural biology with molecular approaches, his work aims to understand these processes in both health and disease, with a particular focus on conditions such as motor neuron disease, to help identify potential therapeutic targets. He also serves as a Principal Investigator for the Manchester BRC Rare Conditions Theme.
