Alexander Blakes

Alex was a Senior Technician and a Clinical PhD Fellow under the supervision of Prof. Sid Banka, Dr Jamie Ellingford and Prof Colin Johnson. His research was funded by the Wellcome 4ward North Doctoral Fellowship and focused on “Characterising gene-terminus variants in developmental disorders”. He has moved onto a postdoctoral researcher role with Nicky Whiffin at the Computational Rare Disease Genomics group in Oxford. Read more about Alex’s PhD experience here.
