I spent a week at Saint Mary’s Hospital in Manchester, under the supervision of Dr Claire Forde, where I participated in genetic counselling sessions and attended clinics focusing on conditions such as neurofibromatosis type 2. The stay provided valuable insight into clinical workflows, patient pathways, and the interpretation of laboratory results. I experienced a high level of interdisciplinary and patient-centred care.

My husband and three children accompanied me and enjoyed exploring Manchester, where the free city buses and museums made it easy to be a tourist. The stay offered both professional inspiration and a memorable experience for the whole family.
