Andrew King
Consultant Neurosurgeon
Andrew King is a Honorary Clinical Professor of Neurosurgery and MAHSC Honorary Clinical Chair at the University of Manchester. He is also a Consultant Neurosurgeon and Clinical Director of Surgical Neurosciences at Salford Royal Hospital, Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust. His research focuses on spinal and skull base neurosurgery, with a focus on neurovascular conditions, such as intracerebral haemorrhage and head trauma. He has a subspecialty interest in surgery for rare tumours at the base of the brain such as vestibular Schwannomas and meningiomas. He is also a Principal Investigator within the Manchester BRC Rare Conditions Theme.
