Are you looking for a PhD and interested in the field of genetics and human diseases, and wish to make a difference to people’s lives world over?
Do you want to do exciting science, and work and learn at an internationally leading institution alongside welcoming peers and supportive supervisors?
Applications for several new fully funded PhD fellowship opportunities for research on rare genetic conditions have recently launched in Manchester.
The Medical Research Council (MRC) Doctoral Training Partnership (DTP) is a highly regarded competitive program at the University of Manchester that offers fully funded PhD studentships in biomedical, clinical, and health services research.
We are excited that this year several MRC DTP projects in Manchester are focussed on studying rare genetic conditions reflecting our strength in this area.
Jacob Sampson one of our current final year MRC DTP students comments on his person experience:
“For me, the MRC DTP has been a unique and exciting opportunity to work alongside expert clinicians, academics and industry professionals in the field of human genetics. It has allowed me to develop cutting-edge skills as a scientist and to contribute to valuable research that will help patients suffering from extremely rare conditions.”
