Manchester Dysmorphology Conference (Oct 2023)

Purpose

The first Manchester Dysmorphology Conference was organized in 1984 by Professor Dian Donnai. Over the years, this biennial conference has brought experts within the field of genomic syndromology together from around the globe, to share knowledge and ideas which further our understanding of developmental disorders and congenital malformations. The conference aims to provide cutting edge content and a welcoming, relaxed setting to encourage discussions, forge collaborations and inspire new ways of improving the lives of patients.

Delegates

We welcome professionals working in the field of dysmorphology or congenital malformations, or developmental disorders. Please note that the number of conference places are limited. If you have not submitted an abstract, or if your abstract is not selected, it is unlikely that you will be offered a place at the conference.

Please note that one individual can be a presenting author on only one submission. However, one individual can be a co-author on multiple abstracts.

Deadline: Before Midnight BST on 11th June 2023 (Sun)

Scope: Abstracts should be based on clinical or scientific studies in dysmorphology or malformations or developmental disorders. Abstracts could describe results from large-scale studies, or genomic or laboratory studies, or clinical trials, or case series, or even informative single case reports. If you are not sure regarding suitability of your abstract, please contact the organising committee. Abstracts describing work that has been published recently (~2 years) in pre-print or peer-reviewed publicaiton is aceptable.

Abstract selection process: Abstracts must be within the scope of the conference. Abstracts will be scored by an international committee according to the novelty and importance of the work.

Delegate fees: £390 (to include conference fees, lunches on all days, and dinner and conference party on Tuesday night). Please note that registration for individual days of the conference will NOT be available.
