The Rare Early Onset Lower Urinary Tract Disorders (REOLUT) Node hosted its 3rd Conference at the UCL Institute of Child Health in London on 9th July 2026, bringing together researchers, clinicians, funders, patient representatives and people with lived experience from across the REOLUT community.
The conference was opened by REOLUT Node Leads Professor Bill Newman and Professor David Long and featured keynote presentations from Dr Benjy Tan, presenting research on behalf of Professor Menna Clatworthy on Assembling a Bladder Cell Atlas, and Professor Louise Oni on the LifeArc–Kidney Research UK Centre for Rare Kidney Diseases and how it could support the REOLUT transformation.
The scientific programme continued with a series of short talks bringing together research, clinical and patient perspectives from across the REOLUT network. The conference concluded with a multidisciplinary panel discussion chaired by Professor Adrian Woolf, with representatives from the Medical Research Council, Kidney Research UK and The Urology Foundation reflecting on key themes from the day and considering future directions for the REOLUT community.
Following the conference, delegates continued discussions and networking at the Zayed Centre for Research into Rare Disease in Children, providing further opportunities to strengthen connections and collaboration across the network.
The 3rd REOLUT Conference showcased progress across the Node, brought together a diverse community around rare lower urinary tract disorders and created space to consider the next steps for collaborative research and future patient impact.
