The Introductory EpiGenRare Node meeting was held virtually on 30th October 2024. This event welcomed researchers, patient support group representatives and healthcare professionals from across the globe to discuss the research that is being conducted into epigenetic rare conditions within the Node.
Inspiring Keynote Speakers
The conference was bookended by compelling talks from two esteemed keynote speakers:
- Rosanna Weksberg, University of Toronto, who spoke on “DNA Methylation Signatures: Current & Future Applications.”
- Jessica McAndrews, Kabuki Foundation, presented her family’s story in “Living with Kabuki Syndrome: Aidan’s Story.”
Throughout the afternoon, researchers from partnering institutions at the Universities of Exeter, Manchester, Cambridge and King’s college London shared their latest findings. The event concluded with insightful discussions about the research presented and ideas were generated as to how the Node can improve future events.
