The purpose of the Oversight Board is to govern the MRCC effectively and, in doing so, to build public and stakeholder confidence that their health and healthcare is in safe hands.
Sohail Munshi – Oversight Board Chair 2025 –
Dr Sohail Munshi is Joint Chief Medical Officer at MFT. Dr Munshi was a GP partner in Manchester for more than 25 years, and became the Chief Medical Officer of Manchester Local Care Organisation in 2018, with the leadership team then taking on the locality of Trafford in 2019. He is senior clinical advisor to the NHS England national Director for health inequalities Improvement and received a British Empire Medal for his services to the community and primary care in 2017.
Jane Eddleston – Oversight Board Chair 2021-2024
Professor Eddleston is a Consultant in Intensive Care Medicine and Anaesthesia at the Manchester Royal Infirmary and is the Group Joint Medical Director for MFT. She is the Clinical Chair of the Greater Manchester Critical Care Operational Delivery Network and a member of the Faculty Board for Intensive Care Medicine. She has extensive Clinical and Managerial experience in Critical Care and Acute Care and is the Chair of the Clinical Reference Group for Adult Critical Care.
