Rachel Lennon
Professor of Nephrology
Rachel Lennon is a Professor of Nephrology at the University of Manchester and a Consultant Paediatric Nephrologist at the Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital, Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust. Her research focuses on the structure and function of basement membranes to understand how they are affected in genetic conditions such as Alport syndrome. Rachel leads the Stoneygate and Kidney Research UK Alport Research Hub and she is Director of the Manchester Cell-Matrix Centre. She is also a Principal Investigator within the Manchester BRC Rare Conditions Theme and Co-Lead of the Next Generation Phenotyping and Diagnostics Theme.
