Giuseppe (Peppe) D’Agostino

Dr Giuseppe (Peppe) D’Agostino is the Lead Academic for the Genome Editing Unit at The University of Manchester and a Senior Lecturer in the Division of Diabetes, Endocrinology and Gastroenterology. A pharmacologist by training, he earned his PhD in Neuropharmacology from the University of Naples and completed further research training at Yale University, the University of Cambridge, and the University of Aberdeen. His research focuses on brain–body physiology, investigating neural and immune mechanisms involved in sickness, anorexia, and obesity, using genetics, systems neuroscience, and integrative physiology.
