Tristan Mackay
Professor of Molecular Neuroscience
Tristan Mackay is a Professor of Molecular Neuroscience at Manchester Metropolitan University. His research group studies the molecular phenotypes of rare neurodgenerative diseases by employing patient-derived induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSC) and gene editing to generate organ-on-a-chip in vitro models. His team has active research projects working on Batten disease, neuronopathic Gaucher disease, and congenital hyperinsulinism.
