Senior Lecturer / Honorary Consultant in Neuropsychiatric Genetics

David Craufurd is a Reader in Neuropsychiatric Genetics at the University of Manchester and an Honorary Consultant at Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust. His clinical and research interests are concerned mainly with the neuropsychiatric aspects of Huntington’s disease (HD) and with the psychological and social impact of predictive DNA testing for late-onset genetic disorders. He runs specialist Huntington’s disease management clinics at Manchester Royal Infirmary and Preston, and Neuropsychiatric genetics clinics at Saint Mary’s Hospital.
